The initial release of the first Apple iPhone was the most anticipated product release in history.  Since the release of the 4GB iPhone, Apple has added an 8GB and a 16GB.  This gives the phone ample storage space considering that it is also a very high quality iPod at the same time.

What Apple has done is give you an iPod, PDA, Digital Camera, Internet Device and Cell Phone all in one.  People are loving it and sales continue at a brisk pace.  Besides the race for third party applications for the iPhone, Apple's allowing AT&T to be their only distributor has spawned a huge demand for "unlocked" iPhones that can be used on other GSM Networks.

An "unlocked" iPhone is one that has been modified to allow usage on any GSM Network worldwide.  There are several ways that have been developed to unlock the iPhones but the most popular and less intrusive way is a "software unlock" that leaves everything intact without voiding Apple's warranty.
